Melissa and I have been married 25 years this june. She makes me smile, she has this joyful light to her. Melissa is one of the strongest people I know. She has achieved what many would find impossible. We met while training to become registered nurses in 1987. We helped each other go on to university and ministry training college. We fell in love with NY at the age of 22 and had the joy of moving here 11 years later.
We have been in New York for 12 years, wow what a journey. We have loved “almost” every minute in NY. It takes a lot to be here but the more it takes the more it gives.
We have three amazing children:
Maddison is attending RIT studying computer engineering. Maddison is one of the most caring people you will ever meet. He has crafted himself into an incredibly diligent student.
Taylor is in his senior year of high school, at Packer Collegiate School in Brooklyn Heights. TJ is still growing into his body. He has his mothers laugh and his fathers height. Taylor is the sort of person that people look up to.
Jordan is our outgoing young lady. She is nine but acts 19. Everything she does is dramatic. She will always surprise you.
We are the senior ministers of c3church manhattan. What a journey our life has been. We started this church in sept 1999 at the turn of the new millennium. We dreamt many dreams and fought many battles. I believe we have done our best to follow Jesus as He has built his church. What an amazing people His church is. They are like family they have the greatest ability to bring you joy and the greatest ability to hurt you. It’s not surprising the cornerstone of life is forgiveness. You can’t stay married without it. You can’t have a family without it. You can be in church without it. You can not be at peace without it. Where does the capacity to forgive come from?
Only from Jesus.
